HAIL GOD!!!!!

I believe in GOD.People know the ONE by many names based on their religion.

For Hindus--- Ishwar,
For Muslims--- Allah,
For Christians---Jesus,
For Sikhs--- Wahe Guru...... and the list continues.

We believe in some divine power who protect us from all kind of evils in this world. I too have felt him a lot of times. But, I have never seen him.

Or Am I wrong??? I have seen him and see him almost daily battling(read batting).. against all kind of evils.(Read bowlers)..
If in the list above , I add another religion(Though its not for many people but many of you would support me.. that India has got an additional religion and that is cricket)...then, we have another GOD incarnated and sane people call him Sachin Tendulkar...But there are a few insane like me who couldnt find another name for him other than God. Someone rightly said... If Cricket is a religion then Sachin is God...

For last 19 years,we have been living a life enforced by him. When he hits a century and India wins, he is happy.. so are we.. If he doesn't perform well, it does reflect on our performance in our day-2-day activities..Believe me or not. it is cent percent true for many Indans who follow cricket religiously; though they may deny this fact.

Last week,he broke another record and it was my day.. Things went smoothly..without any hicupps. Why do I hail him as GOD?? Do I really need to answer this? Just see him with his willow on the cricket ground..and you will know the answer. People always compared him with Sunny,Vivian,Lara,Haynes( I have intentionally missed Punter. He is not worhty to be in this list.Read my previous post) and I-dont-remember so many batting maesteros and tried to belittle his achievements by finding something or the other.
But, it has not affected him as he knows it that he is beyond this comparison.

Just a simple logic I have for my arguement:- Find me any player who has such phenomenal success in both forms of game. You can't find one. We have Lara and Sunny who are really gr8s in Test matches; then we have Vivian and Desmond, gr8 in Onedays. But, once you look at their records in other forms of the games, answer will flash befor you and how hard you try to deny it, you would not be able to deny the fact that Sachu is the most accomplished batsman in the modern era.I can't really comment about Don as I haven't seen him playing LIVE. May be I missed another GOD in action.

One could just tell that he doesn't hit century in every match and wins..but then its we who are expecting this from him. Just think, how often does your wish come true in your real life. Here at least, percentage of him making us cheerful is pretty high.

I have been really fortunate to be be born in his era and watching him play. I know its not too long that I would continue watching him but for now I would not want to think about that and would just live in present and cherish all the precious moments he is providing to me.

Congratulating him on his wonderful feat.. and hope there is a lot more to come...
HAIL GOD!!!!

Wlcum 2 Sajjanpur [:D]

In the last one month, while watching bolly movies; it seems that bollywood seems to come of ages now. And we are now not only producing masala filcks with the same cliched stories but experimenting with new ideas. And a pretty amazing fact is that our producers are successfully experimenting this time...Last 2-3 weeks; I have seen a few movies like Rock On!!, A Wednesday, and Wlcum 2 Sajjanpur...These movies forced me to change my view about movie making in bollywood. They are not great hits on Box office, but for me they are nothing less than blockbusters. Again nothing wrng with the movie; as Indian juntaaa has still a long way to go to keep in line with these sort of movies. (NOM :) )..Coming to Wlcum to Sajjanpur... its a simple, sobre, and filled with a lot of humor which is refreshing.. As soon as u start watching the movie, from the word "Go"; u would find urself connected to the movie. If someone belongs to rural India or has been a part of rural India some day, one would find oneself reliving the past yet again... Saying it just a fine comedy flick would be a big disgrace to this movie; it encompasses a wider message for the audience. It deals with a few burning issues which present day rural India faces now and deals quite beautifully with them.
Well!!!,; I am not going to narrate the story of the movie, would just like to say that 'Go and watch this movie urself' and it will certainly bring smile to your faces. Director Shyam Benegal has once again proved his mettle and its really brave of him to come out of such a movie with (not-so-known ) star cast and still got the best out of them. Hats off to him!!!. Music of the movie was light and Seetaram track was superb. Shreyas Talpade yet again shows he has a lot of potential inside him and he just needs a big platform to become a star. Benegal has portrayed the characters in such a way that every1 in the movie seems real and perfectly suited for the role for which one has been chosen. In other words, every actor has done full justice to their role.
My verdict :- Highly Recommended.
A/c to Rajeev Masand's (Coutesy CNN-IBN):- Filmmaker Shyam Benegal's Welcome To Sajjanpur is not only one of the best films of this year, it's among the finest films you'll see in a long time. It is on the one hand, a humorous portrait of life in a small village in northern India; and on the other an honest exploration of human personalities

Fall from Grace

I am a diehard cricket fan... So I must be posting at least one blog about cricket...and what cod be a better topic oder than sledging Aussies....(The so called unbeatables.. invincibles...) in their own language....... There was a time when Alexander thot to rule this world.. he codnt succeed.. den came Hitler....and in between many more.. and after dat many more as well... but noone cod succeed....I can't take it from them their efforts...They were all gr8 persons...but still alas......Now is the time when Aussies want to rule the world..(of cricket..).. They almost succedded too...but every time it seemed they are ready to beat Hitlers of old time.. it was us yaaa (We Indians...) who proved...not only at that time... but at this time as well.... tyranny codnt be tolerated....
The way we defeated dem in 20-20 World Cup.. den in CB Series Finals.... tell the story in itself...and needless to mention the fierce bouncy Perth track(Their trump card).. where we decimated dem.. and gave them a lesson for a lifetime. Such was the wrath from Sydney test...that Aussies almost surrendered themselves in Perth. Some wise man has told once.. "Only the worthy should be getting fruits for work not the greedy"...and thats what we can see.... You cant become a champion by sledging and riding on ur luck all the time....

What Kangoos did at Sydney is not at all what we expect of a champion... Even Mr. Pointing (though he will not admit it).. would have been thinking "What have I done!!! Is dat what u call cricket" India was not defeated that day..cricket was devastated..The so-called gentleman's game has been gently manhandled... That was really what u call Fall from Grace.... Its not a coincidence that the grandold man of this game was W.G.Grace.. and game was always played with so much grace.... Here 'Fall from Grace' also characterizes falling from the great man's standards he set for others....
I have no reservations in saying that Australian side has shamed the game. Australian Cricket Board chief executive James Sutherland was moved to remind the team about the spirit of cricket........ Some have even said the lingering legacy of Ponting's team will be its surly behaviour, a view suggesting that in 50 years, it will be remembered for its failings of deportment rather than because it became statistically the greatest in history. .....
Quoted somewhere:-
We have taught dem well about ascendant trend inspite of being caught in the middle of controversy...... All top players adopt the similar route before plotting their own fall from grace : from enthusiasm comes commitment, commitment comes expertise, from expertise comes confidence, from confidence without humility comes over-confidence, from over-confidence without restraint comes arrogance, from arrogance without common sense comes humiliation, from humiliation comes knowledge of reality !

दिल के अरमान आसूओन में बह गए...

Dats what was my Orkut name for a majority of the past 6 months or so.... Very people are aware why so.... Sadly I am not one of dem...... but a lots of guesses.... I tried to dig in and find out the reasons..but alas..codnt succeed...and then the title itself speaks a lot....

When I landed @ Heathrow ... here at UK I just thot that I will be landing altogether on a different planet.. where I will be finding a lot of aliens..behaving in a quite strnage manner( to me)...(N.O.M.)...but to my utter surprise, I found that I have reached Mumbai yet again...... The same chaos... and same crowd and similar people... The cab driver was waiting for m outside to drop me at Ipswich.. and it took him around an hour to come out of Heathrow thru multi level parking.. He was pissed off.. (Dont mind the language..I codnt find a better word to describe his situation)...and was complaining "You will not find a second airport in the world where it takes an hour to get down from 3rd floor".. I suddenly struck me 'Yeaahh. I found one...'Situation is same everywhere b it India or UK.. people find it very easy to ridicule about others... Anyways I didn't like him boasting about UK.I was very really hurt.. and replied him back... "Its not the case Steve... we have one in India as well".... and he codnt stop smiling... he wod have thot as well that he found one.....
After reaching Ipswich....I went thru what people call 'Jet Lag'. Was feeling sleepy...My roomies were telling due to jet lag.. I consoled myself( Didnt believe in jet lag).. telling them its due to journey.. I am feeling tired and sleepy. Slept and got up at 3:00 in morning on Sunday.. Still I prided in getting up early..but wen was feeling sleepy yet again at 8:00 P.M.; codn't help but believe in Jet Lag...

Leaving the lag lagging behind.. I was back to normalcy in a few days..... and continued my journey further.... The best timepass for Ukeites.. is to talk about weather..and dey go on talking abt it.... till the weather doesn't improve even after a lot of cursing.. and they seem to remember, it cant be helped... I codnt find much of a difference( Now I am exaggerating this....) except for the facts that people here are self-dependent... there are more cars than people.. people here follow traffic rules..they are cordial..vehicles run at the speed of sound and still no accidents take place......and most importantly.....whole city is clean..... you can wear a T-Shirt.. twice without using Denim or AXE.......(Now dats not much of a difference..)Though this is not complete truth that eveyone @ UK adheres to this;there are quite a few who dont know the rules..but deb they are very few..contrary to India..... (Again NOM)...

Now some similarities...half of (what I have visited till date) is India.... with Indians lying here and there..and there is a place..Eastham where u can without an iota of doubt tell dat u r in India with some foreigners visiting this place.....Now anoder catch here.. Indians dont really mean people from India( but all the people of sub continent are referred as Indians..)

Dats enuf of UK and India......but den I have just started n this was abt wht I cod have written........

Chao.....
